The solution to a missing port is not to select and existing port, hence the keyword here; 'missing' as in 'not existing'. To try to be more helpful I will recommend that if reinstalling the driver does not put the virtual com port back in the list then consider system restore to a date before you uninstalled the printer (or to before the port went missing if that is why you uninstalled the printer to begin with). Tip on using System Restore: There is a helpful feature in system restore that will show you all effected programs upon executing a restore for the date you have chosen. You may think you don't need to take advantage of that option because you haven't installed any new programs since the date you are choosing, but a program might still be effected if there was an update for it in this range that you are unaware of; it's worth letting windows take a quick look for you before you do it. Consider also any other system changes you have made as they may be undone by this and need done again. Keep in mind though that there is the option to undo the restore if you don't like the outcome.

One more thing, after a restore get your pc all updated in case any updates are undone, but consider that an update may have caused your issue to begin with. If it returns by updating after then use the option to undo the restore, restore it again to that same date and do any suspect updates individually watching to see which one is your culprit. This is kind of the route I took in fixing my pc's that I mentioned in my previous post.

Usb001 Virtual Printer Port For Usb Driver

USB Printer Support and USB001 Virtual Port are missing - RESOLVED In desperation, I tried a repair install of W10 Pro. The printer in question is a brand new Ricoh SP-C250DN, which operated perfectly when I first plugged it in and selected USB for the initial installation of the drivers. Feb 12, 2014  USB001 is the default printer port for USB printers and is the first port Windows selects when connecting a printer via the operating system's Devices and Printers 'Add a Printer' utility. The printer installation process is done via the utility’s wizard, which walks you through selecting a port, installing the proper driver for the printer.

SP1 may not have been the culprit in and of itself. I just moved in bigger chunks than reinstalling updates one at so a time so that it got the job done quicker. But it had to have been related to SP1 or one the updates that followed it. Game Untuk Hp Mito 700.
