Setup Network Printer Windows Server 2008 R2
I added a network printer by selecting 'Add a local printer' Create a new port and providing the servername queuename. Windows Mobile For Hp 4700 Specs. All worked just fine.
At first, setting up a wireless connection on a system running Windows Server 2008 R2 seems pretty straightforward. Simply open the Network and Sharing Center, go to Change Adapter Settings, right-click on the wireless network controller, and select Enable. Learn how to deploy network printers automatically in Windows Server 2008 using Group Policy Management.
However, I had used a generic print driver. Manual Da Plotter Xerox 2230ij. I found the w2k8 r2 driver so I removed the existing printer and attempted to add the printer again but this time I would use the new driver. Here is the problem. Going through the same process when I supply the Port Name and click OK I get this message: 'Port nameofmyport already exists'. I also haven't found a graceful way of removing the printer after I defined it. I had to go into the registry and remove all references to the printer name.
I am a Domain Admin in a Windows Server 2003 AD environment with the W2K8R2 server is a member of the domain. Any assistance is appreciated.
