I am fully aware that a lot of tech support jobs are getting 'outsourced' to India and the Philippines(sp?), I can understand the techs who are based in the Philippines (sp?) but gawd those techs from India I just can't deal with. I was on the phone with one today for about 30 minutes and the guy just talked in circles and when he sensed I was getting aggravated my call suddenly got disconnected. So if anyone on this board knows of an HP tech support phone number based here in the USA where I can talk to someone who can speak 'good' english let me know. I called HP tech support and I read to them the exact error message I was getting on my PC and the support person then said so you are saying and he said something that was the total opposite of what I said and the total opposite of the error message. I called back and got another person who either could not comprehend a word I was saying - they can say English words but apparently don't understand the meaning of any thing said to them - or they are pretending not to understand so they can get paid for work but not do any work - either way it seems illegal on the part of HP as they say they give a year warranty support but there is no support as the reps they hire will not help - possibly don't understand English and yet HP supports their behavior in full. If an American customer service rep acted like that they'd be fired.
